Families Invited to Rockhampton’s Christmas Festivities

By David Bell

As a property investor, you will no doubt be looking at real estate in Rockhampton and wondering which demographic you should be marketing it to.

Families are a prominent group throughout the city – and with plenty of schools, facilities and services on offer, it is easy to see why.

At this time of year, Rockhampton's family spirit comes alive, as there are plenty of events designed to keep children entertained and celebrate the Christmas season.

From craft sessions held at local libraries to year-round attractions such as Rockhampton Zoo, families will never be short of things to see and do in the city.

Local councillor Rose Swadling offered some recommendations: "Start the holidays off by singing Christmas songs at our annual Carols by Candlelight – there'll be a host of local entertainers for a magical evening on Saturday 14 December.

"Rockhampton Riverside Park will be showing The Adventures of Tintin on Friday January 17 and Meet the Robinsons will play at Mount Morgan on Friday January 24."

There are, of course, a number of outdoor locations that are well worth a visit this summer, including one of the many local beaches, national parks or playgrounds that can be found in and around the city.
