By David Bell

Owners of real estate in Rockhampton and visitors are encouraged to attend the Carols by Candlelight event this coming Saturday (December 15).

Held at the Rockhampton Heritage Village – a full list of songs will be played in addition to laser shows and a visit from the man in the red suit.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Umbrella Network and locals are encouraged to come down when the gates open at 5pm and grab the best spot.

There will be food and drinks available to purchase but attendees are welcome to bring their own nibbles as well.

With Christmas fast approaching and the school holidays in full swing Rockhampton Regional Council has promised a number of events to keep the kids entertained over the holiday period.

There will be a number of affordable and free activities on offer for children of all ages to keep them busy until they go back to school next year.

From craft to youth classes and a talisman sabre open day – there will always be something available for Rockhampton kids of all ages.
