Multiple Housing Developments For Rockhampton

By David Bell

More than five land developments are currently underway in Rockhampton, demonstrating it is a thriving city.

Those looking to purchase real estate in Rockhampton will be interested in the new developments which may help bring housing prices down as there will be an increased supply of houses in the city.

The regional council has indicated its interest in the new developments and Mayor Margaret Strelow told the Morning Bulletin it is an exciting time for the council.

Developers are showing faith in the city's future, she told the Morning Bulletin on October 28, demonstrating that Rockhampton is a great place to invest in.

New projects include real estate in Norman Gardens, Gracemere and North Rockhampton and include the city's first master planned residential community.

Edenbrook will house over 1,000 families when it is completed and is located close to the city centre, but far enough away that residents will still be surrounded by a natural environment. The development will feature parklands and over 5 km of walking trails, great lifestyle benefits for residents.

These developments will also bring business into the city, and more workers who will require housing, making them more valuable assets in both the short and long term.
