Rockhampton will soon be welcoming one of its most popular events, as the Heritage Village Markets are set to return on April 14.
People who are thinking about buying real estate in Rockhampton might want to attend a local event to get a feel for the community..
Residents and visitors will be given the chance to browse stalls and have a look at the Heritage Village, which is one of the area's most popular visitor attractions.
It showcases the history of the Rockhampton district between 1850 and 1950, including vintage vehicles, machinery, a blacksmith shop and a timber cutters' camp.
The markets are usually held every two months but the March event was moved to April due to inclement weather conditions – it is expected to draw in the crowds from Rockhampton and beyond.
Rose Swadling, chair of Rockhampton Regional Council's Communities Committee, said that there will be a host of stalls selling their wares.
"The markets are a working day for the village so you will able to walk through the various buildings and, for $2.50, take a ride on some of our restored vehicles including stagecoach, fire engine and vintage cars," she commented.
