Ray White Rockhampton Supports Cyclist’s Cambodian Adventure

By David Bell

A local cyclist is making final preparations before undertaking The Cambodian Challenge – a 300-kilometre trip that will be covered over the course of six days.

The trip is designed to raise funds for The Cambodian Children's Financial Literacy Program and two real estate agents from Ray White Rockhampton have donated to the cause.

David Bell and Vicki Deller, who are both passionate supporters of local cycling, have donated $500 to Philippa Hindmarsh to help with her trip.

Ms Deller commented: "Philippa is a well-known face at the Kenrick Tucker Velodrome and has achieved great things in the sport of cycling.

"Her Cambodia Challenge shows the true passion and dedication Philippa has – not just for cycling, but her compassion for those in need."

Aside from the generous sponsorship from Ray White Rockhampton, Giant Cycles has donated a bike as a raffle prize, which will be drawn at Giant Rockhampton on May 25.

A Barefoot Bowls Fundraiser is also planned to raise more money – it will take place at Victoria Park Bowls Club on Hall Street on May 3 and everyone is invited.

Philippa will embark on her expedition when she leaves Australia on June 3.
